Chicago Film

Since being in Zimbabwe, I have shot with my film camera more than I ever have. I was forced to when my digital camera broke and my only backup was my film camera. I really enjoyed shooting film, but I was nervous and excited at the same time as to how the photographs were going to turn out. I must say that I do love the feel and look of film and the unknown of it when shooting, but I don’t like what it does to my wallet. I will eventually post some Zimbabwe shots here, but for now if you want to see alot of them, you can go to my http://joshsheldonphotography.com/ or http://christsinitiative.org/

These photos below are completely unedited film from my olympus 35mm. When I got back from my Zimbabwe trip I needed to finish out a roll, so I decided to go downtown and shoot with no ideas in mind. I just roamed around and tried finding some great scenic views and simple compositions. I love the simplicity of the first two photos. I once heard “simple is genius.”  Its so true!
