My friend and I went out for a late night skate session. The skate park we went to is pretty unique in that it is real gritty, textured, and under a freeway bridge. As my friend was skating, I was taking some shots here in there. Shooting was a bit difficult apart from being hit by a skater, but because of the lighting conditions. Some shots were with a flash and some were without, but because of the low light and fast movement, I had to use a high iso which produced a lot of grain. When editing the photos, the whole session just seamed to work better in black and white and the grain actually worked to my advantage to produce a real raw and gritty feel to them. It gave them almost an old school skate film feel.
